Hamil/Martin announced today Ian Hicks joined the firm April 1, 2015. He will serve clients in all aspects of the firm's general civil litigation practice, including real property disputes.
Prior to joining the firm, Ian Hicks practiced for seven years in general civil, financial services, and commercial litigation. Hicks has first-chaired both bench and jury trials in state and federal district court and has performed oral arguments in cases before the Colorado Court of Appeals. He has also handled evidentiary and motions hearings in state and federal courts. His focus at Hamil/Martin will include commercial, real estate and financial services litigation, and business transactions.
He graduated from University of Denver Sturm College of Law in 2007. Prior to law school, Hicks obtained his bachelor's degree in criminal justice and criminology from Metropolitan State College, School of Professional Studies, in Denver.
Ian Hicks is a licensed member of the Colorado and Denver Bar associations and is admitted to practice law in New Mexico and Colorado.
His personal interests include target shooting, big-game hunting, golf and spending time with his two young daughters.
